The Springfield Armory Prodigy 1911DS is a very popular 2011-style gun, but at it's budget
price point it lacks the refinements and reliability that other higher priced 2011-style guns have.
We offer a complete enhancement package for the Prodigy 1911DS that improves it's performance,
reliability, ergonomics, and aesthetics. Everything listed below is what we do to a Prodigy 1911DS
to bring it up to a higher level of refinement and is all included in the enhancement package price.
We also offer the below services separately in case you don't want or need the entire package done.
These services can also be done to the MAC/Tisas, Girsan, Bersa, LFA and other 2011 clones.

Cerakote Service (separately for $225):
Single color Cerakote on the slide and frame
(in stock colors only - special order colors are $40 extra)
Single color Cerakote on dehorned small parts
Dehorn the slide and frame of any sharp edges and corners
Dehorn the thumb safety levers
Dehorn and blend the beavertail grip safety with the back of the frame
Slide stop lever pin flush cut and assembly notch cut
Grip Service (separately for $165):
Moderate or aggressive texture on the grip area
Smoothed out areas above the magazine release button
Smooth border on the bottom of the mainspring housing
Chamfered inside edges of the magwell opening
Performance and Reliability Tuning (separately for $100):
Polish the hammer and sear engagement surfaces
Tune the trigger components for a 2.5# to 3# trigger pull
De-burr and smooth the trigger bow edges
Tune the extractor for improved feeding and ejection
Polish the barrel's feed ramp and chamber
Chamfer the edges of the barrel chamber
Radius the bottom edge of the breech face
De-burr and smooth the slide and frame rails
Adjust/reduce the grip safety's engagement point
Minimum Upgraded Parts (separately for $80):
EGW 0.068" firing pin with an ISMI spring
Atlas Gunworks tool-less guide rod
Additional Optional Services:
Step-cut grip chop to accept compact magazines - $75
Pinned beavertail grip safety - $25
Installation of customer supplied parts - $25/hour
